DS Luxury At Autobahn Country Club For Ferrari Track Day

At the renowned Autobahn Country Club in suburban Joliet, DS Luxury had the opportunity to join in on a limited-invitation Ferrari track day back in May 2018.

Much like DS Luxury, Autobahn offers a wide range of experiences for members and non-members alike. Partial or full-day track rentals are offered with tiered pricing, and for those who want to soak it up for a whole season, annual garage rentals and even full-time garage ownership is available to the most discerning track-hungry individuals.

On this particular occasion, Autobahn teamed up with Hinsdale-based Continental Autosports Ferrari to bring a selection of clients together for a day of hot laps, hot cars, and unforgettable memories. A crew of Ferrari Challenge racing drivers were also on hand to provide all participants with passenger ride-alongs in each of their respective track-prepared Ferrari models.

For a special day such as this, there was really only one car we could make an appearance with. Our one-off Goyard x Gucci Ferrari 488 Spider was on hand at the track for an unforgettable trip through the ages of Ferrari’s all-time greatest road and race cars alike. And as one of the earliest DS Luxury vehicles to achieve widespread prominence, it was right at home among the most elite Ferraristi in the Chicagoland area.

The lineup for this spring outing featured timeless classics such as the Ferrari 512TR, modern legends like the naturally-aspirated 458 Speciale, and fabled racers including the 360 Challenge. Even among these iconic nameplates, our uniquely wrapped 488 Spider effortlessly stood out as one of the highlights of the afternoon.

On Autobahn’s 1.46-mile North Circuit, the Goyard x Gucci 488 Spider performed effortlessly, providing ample driver feedback and an intoxicating soundtrack from its all-new twin-turbo V8. While tracking alongside fellow Ferrari drivers of all skill levels and model years, DS Luxury’s 488 Spider cemented its place as an all-time favorite.

The unforgettable experience of tracking the 488 Spider is one of many reasons why DS Luxury has continued to proudly feature V8 Ferraris in our ever-expanding fleet. Although the Goyard x Gucci 488 Spider is no longer available, we currently offer its hardtop counterpart, the 488GTB, as well as a Gintani-tuned 800-horsepower version of the F8 Spider which replaced it.
